Memoir, “Above the Tempest: Rising after a Fall:” Updates on Publication Progress
Miriam O. Ezenwa, PhD, RN, FAAN
Greetings, my awesome people! I did it!!! Finally, I completed my memoir with a tentative title, “Above the Tempest: Rising after a Fall.” In this book, I discuss how I rose above the many tempests in my life —Poverty, Spiritual Crisis due to rape, Clash of Cultures of Health and Illness, and Igbo, American, and Religious Traditions, Microagressions I experienced as a student and as an educator within the American education system, Divorce, and Infertility — to become who I am today — a kind and resilient Christian mother, who works as a professor, a motivational speaker, and a writer to support my family and myself.
To those of you who knew when I started this journey, thank you for your generous support, encouragements, and sometimes, gentle rebukes that inspired me to stay the course. I love you, always.
To those of you who are just learning about my journey, thank you for becoming part of my family. I would need all the love and positive energy I could get to keep me going, especially in the next stage of the book publishing process, which is finding a literary agent to pitch the book to Publishers.
If you know good literary agents, I would appreciate your sharing their contact information with me.
I will keep you informed about my journey with getting, “Above the Tempest: Rising after a Fall” published.
Thanks again. I am grateful for your support!!!
I wish you strength, always!
